Men's Basketball Student Season Ticket Information
Students wishing to request a season ticket for the 2007-08 basketball season must apply online between 12:01 AM October 8, 2007 and 5:00 PM October 12, 2007. (Deadline extended to 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 18.) A purchased season ticket will replace the individual game ticket available through the regular student ticket lottery. Season ticket seats will be assigned in a preferred location. Availability is limited. Students requesting tickets whose order can not be filled will be refunded. Tickets will be $72. The Student Season Ticket will include all games played in Cassell Coliseum this season with the exception of Charleston Southern, and Liberty. These non-conference games take place over winter break and will not be included in the package. Students purchasing a season ticket that wish to attend these games should enter the individual lottery for a ticket. Season tickets will not be shipped this season. Students purchasing tickets will be required to bring their Hokie Passport to the Coliseum ticket office on Monday November 5th or Tuesday November 6th between 9:00am and 4:00pm, to pick up their ticket. Who is eligible to buy student season tickets?All current full-time Virginia Tech students may request one season ticket. There will be a limit of 1500 Student Season Tickets sold. Should the number of tickets ordered exceed this number, a random lottery will be conducted to determine who gets tickets. The remainder of the student allotment will be distributed through the individual game lottery. Fall Semester enrollment will be checked with the Registrar's Office. Student classification will be checked with the Hokie Passport office prior to the ordering period. Spring semester enrollment will be checked with the Hokie Passport office and students not having paid the athletic fee will have their tickets canceled and returned to the individual student lottery for the remainder of the season.
How do I order a student season ticket?
To apply for a student basketball season ticket, you must complete the online form. If you purchased season football tickets, login with the email address and password you used for football under "Already Registered. If you're new, click the link to "Register Now". You will be asked for your student number and your PID to link to your online account. You must verify the address information provided, and may optionally include a credit card in your account for future ordering. Once registration is complete you will have to log in using the email you specified during registration and the newly created password to place your order.
How much does a student men's basketball season ticket cost?
The cost of the student ticket is $72. A student season ticket will guarantee the same reserved seat for all home games. (Charleston Southern and Liberty not included in the Season Ticket). Guest tickets are not available for basketball due to the student allotment of 2,567.
Am I guaranteed a ticket if I place an order?
No. If the number of students purchasing a season ticket exceeds the student season ticket allotment, a lottery will be conducted to determine who gets tickets. Refunds will be issued to students who do not qualify to receive a ticket.
What happens if I don't order a student men's basketball season ticket?
Students not ordering student season tickets, may apply for their tickets game by game during regular student distribution utilizing the electronic lottery. There will be no guest tickets available during individual game lottery distribution.
How is seating priority determined?
Seating will be assigned randomly in a preferred seating area.
What if I want to sit with my friends?
- Students who wish to sit together must be part of a Seating Group before submitting their order.
- One member of the group should use the "Create Group" link at the bottom of the ordering page. This "group leader" will be asked to assign the group a name and a password to be used by all the students that wish to be part of the group. The "group leader" must then enter the email addresses of all the students who are invited to join the newly created group. Group leaders must remember to select the newly created group from the pull-down "Group Seating Preference" menu when ordering to be seated with their group.
- Each person that the "group leader" invites to join his/her group will be sent an email from the ticket office with the group name and password that they should use to join the Seating Group.
- The students invited to join the Seating Group should use the "Join Group" link to associate their order to the group. Each group member should then complete their application making sure to use the pull down window under "Group Seating Preferences" to select the correct Seating Group.
- If you wish to be part of a Seating Group you must join the group before you submit your application. Once the application has been submitted you will not be able to join or change your group assignment.
- Group membership will have NO bearing in determining who gets tickets and who does not. The lottery will be run on each individual order, and not on the group as a whole. It is possible that seven or eight people join as a member of a group, order tickets, but only one or two group members receive tickets. Refunds will not be issued because someone else in a group does not receive tickets.
When do I pay for my ticket?
Students will be immediately charged by credit card at the time of sign-up. Refunds will only be made to students not receiving tickets.
How do I receive my student season ticket?
